So last night i had one of the weirdest most lucid dream i've ever had! I dunno why but it all made some sort of sense. At the beginning, i was thinking a bit about
Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, and the fact that Rimudo's father wanted to kill him after he was born and how his mother sent him away with one of her most devoted family servants etc etc... well this one was about MERMAIDS! So it also has a bit of the story "
The Last Mermaid" by Shana Abe (it's more like a compilation, basically the first story) that had a selkie woman in it. And here's how my dream went;
The selkie woman (whom i had no idea what her name was) had twins, (not sure if they were boy and a girl or just two boys) and she was about to have one more kid, when her hubby (who for some reason i thought resembled Triton, the God of the sea) decided to drown his last child and ended up killing the twins while the selkie mother swam away with her recently born child (a boy i recall) and she took him to shore and left him away from the sea ('member she can turn into human) but then i don't remember what happened to her, i think Triton killed her afterward because selkies can't live without going back into the ocean so i guess she knew that and returned anyway to the sea (better sooner or later eh?). So i can't remember the rest of the details, but i think the kid kind of raised himself, because he was a superior being. And so the kid who is now a young lad of 14 or somewhere around there, is at school. But this is a middle school and it's like a school near the shore. They were learning their math and other school subjects. All the students were sitting in pairs because the teacher wanted it so, and the kid got in luck because he managed to obtain a seat next to his crush. The teacher was kind of a meanie or something and was suspecting the kid as a being from another world (very superstitious and VERY correct) and so he was targeting the kid in all the problems just so he could observe him and make deductions and to see his brilliantness at every subject. Next i saw a scene where the kid was sharpening his pencil, and there were two bullies who came up to the kid and were acting as if they were waiting their turn, just taunting him (because apparently everyone felt that he was kind of strange) and so the kid tried to sharpen his pencil faster but ended up breaking almost the entire led off, so he just quit and went back to his seat. And just out of nowhere, the teacher says " i propose we make a trial!" and so everyone asked of what, and the teacher began to tell them his views about the way the kid acted and how it made him seem different, everyone was putting in some info on that as well (because they end up observing him during lunch breaks) until it got to the turn to the girl the kid has a crush on. The girl also likes the kid but knows a lot bout how he spends his time in the sea and has actually seen him turn into a selkie. She's about to say something, because the teacher was compelling her to do so and her classmates too (oh and if they found the kid "guilty" they were going to burn him to death <---i was actually reading a book about people condemning and burning the day before so maybe that's why it got in my dream in the first place?) so JUST as she's about to say something, the kid writes something in the desk they share. It says "stay with me".... or as it appeared in my dream it was in Japanese 「そばにいる」and just when she saw it she looked up to him and he whispered "Soba ni iru....." with a pleading look in his eyes constantly repeating that word.
I woke up after that and the first thing that came to my lips was that exact thing "Soba ni iru". It was such a tender dream... i wanted to share it with my siblings but they'd be confused and would most likely make fun of me, and they would destroy my illusion from that dream.... so i just had to write it before it began to fade from my mind. Which i doubt it would anytime soon since i liked that story.... even though i never knew what happened to that kid. :) i'd like to have one of those nostalgic dreams again.
