Another long dry spell of no updates. I truly suck at these things...
Looking forward to
ACEN and
CON, which are only two weeks away. Mostly I am just looking forward to having a week and a half off of work. Am starting to feel the burn-out seeping into my bones here.
Erin has decided (with admittedly a large amount of subtle, and not so subtle, poking from me) to give
World of Warcraft a try, and so far she seems to be enjoying it. Am quite excited about that as it gives us a common hobby, something that we don't really have outside of our love of books and our occasional participation in the

As of today it is officially one year ago that I purchased
Oniko, and over the last couple of days I have sat down and did some number crunching to see if the purchase was worth it.
According to the vehicle tracking that I have been doing, I have spent a total of $110 in insurance for the scooter. I have spent $107 in daily maintenance (oil changes, new variator and rollers, new belt, and new spark plug). And last, I have spent approximately $146 in gasoline to ride it. As of tonight the odometer reads: 4522.6 miles
So... after initial purchase price, I am spending just under a dollar a day to ride the bike.
Of course, this isn't including all the money I have spent accessorizing the bike (frame extension, lowered seat kit, et cetera), but I am counting that separately as it isn't necessary for daily use.
In comparison, I have spent about $560 in insurance, about $150 in gasoline, and $360 in daily maintenance for my Jeep. I know I have driven it less then 1100 miles this year.
