It's that time of year again...

...in which I start debating about selling my Jeep and just having the scooter. Have done this the last two years in spring and have always managed to talk myself into keeping the vehicle, but it is starting to cost a lot just sitting in the parking lot as I drive it approximately once every two to four weeks right now. At the moment the major things wrong with it are:

1. Front passenger window will roll down, but not up (automatic windows).

2. Drivers seat needs replacement as 10 years of me climbing into it has pretty much killed it.

3. In bad need of a general tune-up, which most shops consider to be major engine work (and charge accordingly).

4. STILL has rust in the coolant after having flushed it 3-4 times a year for the last 3 years.

So, in planning things out, if I sold the Jeep off I would have the scooter (and the free Tri-Met pass that work provides me with) for the entire spring/summer/fall, and should be good as long as I don't have any ambitious camping plans. Come September/October I will have finally finished paying off my debt consolidation loan (which I drop $300 to $450 a month into) and would have that money to make a car payment should I decide to purchase a car again (likely). In the meantime though, that will be a considerable amount of money (about $70/month insurance, $30/month in gas, plus oil changes and radiator flushes) I WON'T be paying out during the summer.

Still debating it... opinions my friends?
