Finding a room in this “hotel” that didn’t have dead humans littering the decor wasn’t easy, so in the end I settled for cleaning one out myself…Dru and I had to get some minions. The room could have been worse, god knows I'd stayed in worse...of course I'd stayed in far better too, but then I had to remind myself; I wasn't in Sunnydale fine dining

So, she thought she had a few skills, did she? I began to struggle up from the floor, my chin aching where that little bitch had hit me. She had some nerve. No matter, that would just make killing her all the more amusing.
"Sorry, Darla. But, I switched teams a little while ago. Nothing personal. Well, actually, you were a right bitch to me for years, so it IS personal.”
What? But before I had time to think, Spike moved to stake me. Blocking it quickly, I received a hard strike to the face for my troubles. That little piece of sewer slime, I thought frantically, as my head ricocheted off the plush carpet. This behaviour was apparently the thanks I got for all those years I spent keeping Angelus from killing him. Well… I thought, kicking squarely in the balls. Perhaps ‘keeping’ wasn’t the perfect term…
‘Encouraging’ perhaps? Come to think of it, maybe if I’d done a little more of that none of us would be in this…situation.
I rolled to the side and stood up quickly, aiming a swift kick at his face as he rolled pathetically on the floor. I walked towards him as he rolled away.
“You know William, I always despised you,” I said derisively. “But at least when you were killing Slayers I could respect you. Of course, now that you’re screwing them instead,” I grabbed the stake from the ground and took aim. “I don’t really see the point in keeping you around.”

I stood as he did, pulled by the strength of my anger at him. Why had I hoped he’d changed? I could still see her; floating around him like a sickness. I glared at him for a moment before turning towards the commotion…just before Grandmum twirled - propelled by the Slayer - towards me, knocked me away from my boy.
But there were already oceans between him and me, my mind whispered, as I righted myself and slunk towards the dark Slayer. Standing between her and Spike, I locked gazes with her. Oh, I knew what my boy had been up to all right, her eyes, her scent told nasty tales on him. He still liked the taste of Slayers, oh yes…but not in the proper way.
Ooh, it made my head spin sickeningly and the air seemed to grow sticky and slow as I turned to see my boy, once so dark and wicked, turn on Darla. But oh, Grandmum had her fun oh yes, punishing my naughty boy just the way he deserved and…
“I don’t really see the point in keeping you around.”
…plunged that nasty splinter toy towards his sweet heart.
“No!” I heard myself cry, and before I knew it my body was cutting through the tacky air and Darla was on the ground beneath me.
Oh dear. She’d be ever so cross, but….he was a traitor, yes, but the worms couldn’t have him yet. Oh no, he still had reels left to dance. Besides, there was still that nasty slayer to see to…and she was coming, the black sun promised it.

And hey! Did no one notice that I was the slayer? And really, all three of them should be payin' attention cause I was itchin' to dust all of 'em at this point. Spike's bitchy little reply when I asked if he was gonna help. Course he wasn't gonna help. So what if he was a good lay, he was still a vampire. Sad imitation of Angel was all.
I rolled my eyes as the brunette threw herself into the blonde to keep her from staking Spike. Jesus Christ. Couldn't they make up their mind?
Marching over to the two of them I kicked the brunette hard in the ribs, sending her sailing across the room. Grabbing the blonde by the arm I jerked her to her feet. Managed to duck just in time as she lashed out at me and in the same fluid movement I brought my stake swiftly into the cool dead skin above her heart.
She gave me a wide-eyed look just as I looked up and saw Spike standing on the other side of her, stake in hand. Dammit, this was my vampire.
Well, now she was no one's vampire. She was just a pile of ash on the floor.

She was bloody quick. Damn it if she didn't have a few hundred years of fighting experience on me, and I thought that I was a goner when the stake came plunging towards me, I flung up an arm in a fruitless attempt to bloke the blow and then watched in amazement when Drusilla cried out and tackled Darla, putting off her aim. The stake bit into my arm, but missed the heart. While Darla was picking herself up again, I yanked the stake free, a snarl on my lips. So much for talk.
Then Faith was kicking Drusilla out of the way, and grabbing Darla who was trying to backhand her.
I saw my opening and plunged my stake into her back, right where the heart would be. Darla exploded into a dust, and Faith looked at me from the other side, surprise on her face. Probably didn't think I'd have it in me to stake my grandmum.
"Bitch insulted me. Never liked her." I said with a cocky grin. Then I turned towards where Drusilla had been. More than anything I hoped she'd scarpered when she'd had the chance.

Only the smell of old lace and older death all turned to dust under the blackened sun…
My gaze turned to them; their horrid visages were cut up, obscured by rage and the hair that curtained my face, but I could stills see, oh yes, could’ve seen the ending to this awful story with pins bloodying my eyes. Five sharp points of pain blossomed on my skin as I clutched my chest, nails ripping, trying to hold in the screaming pixies that wanted to burst forth from inside and yell and shred and tear as the pain of Grandmum’s cruel departure ripped through me.
Blood welled, wetting my fingers, cooper filled the air and I watched as Spike and his Slayer whore turned and settled their dirty gazes on me.
I stood, as if invisible puppet strings were tugging on my insides and wrenching me to my feet and my insides burned as I looked at them. Oh-so powerful together, but apart was how I’d have them, oh yes. Little boy was lost to me now, but I’d have her and soon. Payment for plunging me into black loneliness…payment for stealing our dearest…
But not tonight.
Their hateful faces blurred and slid out of view as I turned, quick like a cat and hurled myself through the glass doors, springing over the balcony and landing with a sharp thud on the floor below. Streaking inside, I ran down through the innards of the hotel, paying no mind to the festivities in the halls as there were other things to attend to tonight. Lone little girls to be hidden away until it was time…

Instead I turned back to Spike, and put the stake back into my jacket pocket.
"Figures, I stake her girlfriend and vamp chick's gotta bail out on all the fun."
With a shrug, I walked out the way we'd come in not even stoppin' to see if Spike was taggin' along. I already knew he would. Had questions for him, but it occured to me that I might save 'em for Angel instead.
