REQUEST: if anyone out there has "Baby Don't Change Your Mind" by Paul Young, which is to say track 7 from the album Reflections, I would very very much appreciate them sending me a copy. Shane has been going a bit mad trying to get it, and I said I'd see what I could do. Good. Thanks.
Last night at the Railway I had an espresso martini. I haven't had an espresso martini since February. It turns out they were Heaven all this time and I'd forgotten. Because it's espresso! And it's martini! And there's foam on top, and they drop espresso beans on top of the foam, and it smells like coffee and wonderful. And it's an ESPRESSO MARTINI, you cannot argue with the good.
Nor can you argue with the wrongness of saying "expresso" instead of "espresso". Oh no you cannot.
Today there should be sushi, but that means leaving the apartment and crossing the street. HMM. Yesterday I had to leave and get groceries, which meant taking public transit and things. I had to TRICK MYSELF INTO GOING OUT. It seems to be easier if I don't look out the window, but rather get ready to go out and then put on my discman and start walking. I don't know why the window should make any difference, possibly when I look out the window my brain says "oh, THAT'S what outside is like, I remember now. I HATE it" and then everything is just impossible.
However: sushi.
