Cheerier Things
(being things that are Not about police, ex-boyfriends, and restraining orders.)
1. I went to Edmonton a couple of weeks ago to visit family, which was Hectic But Nice.
2. Josh Groban told the world that he's an unabashed theatre geek, and then he sang "Not While I'm Around" and I loved Josh Groban more than I ever intended to love Josh Groban. Please to be not confusing me with a groupie, I didn't rush the stage and throw him my underwear or a hotel room key or anything. Honest.
3. I bought herringbone Chuck Taylors. They are the loveliest things ever. Now I just have to learn how to walk in flat shoes again.
4. I bought Jeans That Fit, although I am slightly worried that they will Not Fit once they've gone through the wash. The saleslady assured me that they would only shrink lengthwise, and I had to explain that really lengthwise is the shrinkage that worries me, seeing as I'M 5'9" AND ALL. But still, jeans that fit! Probably they will be okay so long as I don't use the dryer.
5. Seth is in Pirates of Penzance, he is the very model of a modern Major-General! I'm seeing it tonight with people. Afterward there shall be Drinks, with many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.
