I work at a movie theatre, by the way.

It has occurred to me that maybe the key to future happiness would be to not get up so early. Which isn't to say that 7:45 is horrendous or anything, probably a lot of people get up earlier than that and function just fine. But when I have nothing to do all day except shop maybe, and I can't shop because that would require putting on clothes that aren't flannel pajama pants with penguins on them, then all I have to fill the time is blogging and television and reading. And these are all reasonably good things but they eventually end with me eating celery and maple syrup and that's just a WORLD OF BAD.

Yesterday I worked from 6 to 10 and the manager put me in the box office where I then got questioned by JUST ABOUT EVERY CUSTOMER as to why general admission is $12 and why seniors' tickets are $7 and why, then, if they are buying one adult ticket and one senior ticket, do they have to pay $19? And other questions of similar frustration. On a happier note there was a new label on the box office phone dubbing it the BAT PHONE. Apparently one thing led to another because there was also a BAT CLOCK, a BAT CAMERA, a BAT STOOL, a BAT PEN, BAT TAPE, a BAT CONE, and a BAT BAT. See, this is the kind of thing that simultaneously keeps me from quitting my job and makes it hard to explain to people why I can't quit my job.

I think maybe I'll do laundry now, that would probably be good.
