One for the insomniacs

I was flicking through my mother's copy of Britsh Vgoue magazine. In it an article on disturbed sleep patterns and what we can do to return to good solid sleep patterns. Lately, I've been awake for 1-4 hours a night and it's lasted for months.

I though, pfft, this is Vogue, what do they know? Anyway, I read the article and it advised to have a 10-15 minute nap or rest during the day to reset the body's sleep clock. Now if I can't sleep at night, I won't rest during the day, because I've always thought it'd keep me awake for longer at night.

But yesterday I gave it a try. I lay on the couch for 20 miutes and just shut my eyes. When I went to bed last night, I didn't even feel tired.

I ended up having the best night's sleep I've had in MONTHS! So if you can't sleep, it might be worth a try.
