I've been wondering for a long time if the 'Nathaniel Merriweather presents...' on the cover of the lovage album was related to Cabin Boy (since that's Chris Elliot's name in the movie), a little investigating turns up that Nathaniel Merriweather is the alias of Dan the Automator, who has a mix cd out called "wanna buy a monkey?" (David Letterman's line from Cabin Boy), and that he took the name for another one of his projects (Handsome Boy Modeling School) from an episode of Get a Life, starring chris elliot. Fucking bad ass. I've been wanting to see the show get a life again, I used to watch it all the time when I was little, but I'm not sure if it's actually as funny as I remember it. Sledge Hammer ended up being just as cool as I thought it was, so maybe there's hope for Get a Life? the dvds are on sale, but fucking expensive, and I haven't found it anywhere online yet to d/l...
Cabin Boy still remains one of the all time best movies ever created, I'm pretty sure I'm going to wear out my copy of it soon (I have it on VHS). Thankfully the DVD sells for $10 new, and about $3 used on amazon...
