Today would be a happy day. No yelling, arguments, not even tears. Today he was going to be normal; please those who wanted the best for him. Today wasn't the first time trying for a happy day; many prior attempts some came close to succeed others crumbled by first bell. Teasing look from classmates, conversation not allowed to join. Always turns happy days into lonely days. Today he'd make it, find a way to connect or just sit under the tree talking to invisible friends. When he'd come home he'd tell daddy he had a happy day for him.
