I do agree that he takes things like they're owed to him. He really had the opportunity to demonstrate his remorse after Em and I found the house in shambles. He could have worked on the stains or ran the dishwasher, something. Instead, he left his dishes in the sink and the trash piled up in the garage. The last time he stayed with us, I showed him where the dumpster was because he said had he known, he would have taken the trash out. Obviously not.

I think, if anything, I'm more mad at myself because I should have known better. The last time he stayed with us, I came home to find cigarette butts in Sephie's pack and play. B said he'd probably just dropped an ashtray, but it bothered me that a) he smoked in the house and b) if he dropped an ashtray, why would he not pick up the filters, too? Sephie could have grabbed one, eaten it, and gotten really sick or choked.

It also bothers me that he put the dogs at risk. Em took her pug home and he ate an entire day's worth of food in 15 minutes. Who knows how long he went without eating? I feel responsible for that, and that because he is still a young puppy, he could have eaten those cigarette butts as well.

I wish I had had the foresight to take pictures! I should have, but I didn't. I was too grossed out to think clearly and just focused on cleaning it up as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Hindsight is 20/20, but at least now you know that the first time around wasn't just a fluke and he really is trashy. It's always hard to learn the truth about someone like that, though.
