Oh man!
Tonight was an awesome night. My sister and I went to see Har Mar Superstar at Spaceland. We got there just as Har Mar was getting on stage. There were crowds of people in front of us so we made our way to the front of the stage. A few minutes after we made it to the front, I started dancing. Har Mar decided he wanted to sing in the crowd, so he walked all around singing as the mic cord was getting caught. A man in a suit came to the front to guide the cord. Har Mar came back onto the stage and continued to sing. I noticed the man in the suit turn around and waved his hand to get the attention of 2 girls. The girls walked up and stood beside me. I looked over to notice one of the girls. It was Karen O. of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She stood beside me and danced with me while her friends were snapping some great shots of Har Mar. I didn't say anything to her then, I just shared a few smiles. Soon after she took off. For some reason I kind of knew she was Har Mar's special guest. He introduced her and she came out to sing with Har Mar. It was awesome. A wonderful night in my book.
Izz and I talked to her for a few minutes as she was leaving. Then we decided to leave, but first we stopped to say thanks for a great show to Har Mar. I think he remembered us from the last time we saw him. He's so bad-ass. Then as we walked out, Karen was standing outside, maybe waiting for her ride, who knows, but she yelled bye ladies to us. *sigh* I didn't want this night to end. It was beautiful.
Before we went home we stopped by the Sunset Marquis Hotel to see if they had a guest list, which they did, so we couldn't go in. So no Strokes this time. Maybe next time!
