(no subject)
This is kinda annoying. Even though I don't post here much, I come often to read others' journal entries. But now when I go to my friends' page, it doesn't show me the latest ones, but instead presents to me everyone's entries from Oct. 31 and before. Am I missing something completely obvious? (I tend to do that a lot)
On Friday after class, I went to the lovely Japanese mall in Arlington Heights, IL (2 hours south of here). Sometimes I wish I lived down there...it's urban enough to please me (but not as scary as Chicago), with bonus things that you don't find in Milwaukee, while being close enough to both Chicago and Milwaukee to visit friends and special places enough. I know my little brother would cry if I moved there, though. I wonder if he would even speak to me.
I was intent on going to Mitsuwa (the japanese mall) to buy birthday prezzies for my dearest Roy and Anne, whose birthdays are on the 18th and 19th, respectively. But I didn't care to drive for a total of 4 hours by myself, and somehow I ended up with a car full of Shelley, Tom, Carissa, and Annie. Oh ho ho, I got some good gifts. I mean...I want to keep them. So if either of them make a sour face, I can just buy them something else and keep this stuff! Yay!

It is mostly a grocery store selling Japanese food products, but also a food court, bookstore, liquor store, bakery, discount housewares store, video rental place, ceramic dish store, and travel agency. There used to be an anime store too...my heart skipped a beat when I saw it was gone. Why would you take my anime away? why?
