I'm seriously considering getting my own website/domain name (instead of the stupid www.geocities.com/tabifu url). I think this is an important thing for any artist to have.
Now, I know I can use "geocities pro" for $9/month and get the domain name I want and get rid of the ugly geocities advertising. It gives me 25 mb of space and 10 gb of bandwidth/month. Does anyone have any better and/or cheaper suggestions?
Also, I'm considering buying a digicam, but I really don't know how to tell if one is any good. The main reason for wanting it is to document my art, with the side benefit of having it for social events. I wouldn't be blowing these up to put on a wall; the resolution would just have to be good enough to look crisp and clear when the image is the size of a regular (what is it? 4x6?) photograph.
Lastly, does anyone have any advice about cell-phone shopping? There are lots of free ones out there, but it seems like the plans that go with them are always like $40/month, while I'm looking to spend $25 or less/month. What about those ones where you have to buy the minutes you use ahead of time and you don't have to deal with a "plan"? I don't think I'd be using the phone much more than a few minutes, a few times per week.
arigatoo gozaimasu for any advice received!
