When I was getting the boys, I finished reading Writing Dialogue. I rather liked it. Unlike most books on writing, it wasn't preachy. It did specify some things as bad, but it didn't discredit them entirely, which is a mistake many writing advice book authors make. Instead, it focused on tips and tricks to make dialogue BETTER, rather than focus on what was wrong with this passage or that passage.

The next book I'm going to be reading, then, is Battle Royale. Yes, that one. The one with the super-gory film adaptation. Yup.
