I write, a lot so I nicked this from misscam… Post the first lines from your 25 most recent drafts. Although in this case, I used first paragraphs if they seemed to work better.

Ivy looked over at Escher as he stormed in the door. Happy was not the first word that came to her mind. Not that he had been exactly happy being given command, but this was definitely more unhappy than usual. (Surviving Disney… original)

Ivy looked out the window. The snow was falling again in cold gray flakes. She hated the cold and damp and wished she was free to move somewhere warm and tropical. Somewhere, anywhere that wasn’t here. Even when it wasn’t cold, damp, and generally miserable, this city held too many bad memories. (Brass Bed… original)

“Hello, my love.” The world was bright around him, like the time vortex, and he couldn’t quite see her face. The voice was familiar, yet, alien. He tried to look around, but could still see nothing but bright light. (unnamed Dr. Who)

She leaned over the sink, brushing her teeth. He stood in the doorway watching, smiling at the fact that she only wore an old pair of boxers but was bare from the waist up. Damp tendrils of hair clung to her neck. (unnamed original)

Elise savored the cool feel of the sheets on her warm bare skin. Stretched out on the bed in the dark bedroom was hardly relaxing. She heaved a impatient sigh. She hated waiting. Once again she cursed the bureaucracy that decreed monthly meetings that deprived her of Ian’s company two extra hours every month. (unnamed original)

Elsha lay glistening on the burning sand. Thane could see her from where he paused panting in the shade. He frowned at her. she shouldn't be here among these reprobates. They would destroy her beautiful spirit in the quest for physical perfection and satiation. Elsha was stretched out nearly naked on a reed mat, her eyes closed something she'd never have done when she lived at the abbey. Thane's shadow fell across her. "You're standing in my sun." (unnamed original)

General Wedge Antilles stared at the man sitting before him.

“So what do you know about all this?”

Mal looked at the pale girl in front of him. “What are you doin’ here?”

Mimi lay under the sheets, trying to stop shaking. It was almost unbearably hot in the house, but it wasn’t the cool air from the fan that made her shiver. Today had been close; too close. She heard the door close as Shawn came home. He crawled into the bed beside her and sighed. She put a hand on top of the arm he draped over her. (unnamed original)

He had once again returned. I could see him glance at me from the corner of his eye. He was filled with questions and a curious mind. The asking was inevitable, it was only a matter of time.

Dr. Li held the female subject cradled in his arms. Complications in the first stage of the experiment had caused them to accelerate the timetable and move on into stage two. However, the necessary equipment for the onset of stage two was not scheduled to arrive for several weeks, according to the original timetable. Every moment of contact with the subject further skewed his results. (unnamed original)

It is said, long ago before our people discovered the cloning technology, we met a race that could resist the Goa’uld. A lost traveler happened upon an uncharted system

Ivy looked around the bungalow. (unnamed original)

She was slipping into the fishnet thigh highs when the yelling started. It echoed thru the warehouse and mixed into the sounds of ardor, punishment and submission. It was a weird effect, definitely out of place. Only halfway thru the transition from artist to dominatrix, she walked out of the employee area into the small waiting room. It was mostly empty, just a rather podgy guy in an overcoat. She bit her tongue to suppress the urge to laugh. He didn’t belong here, poor guy, maybe he was looking for a little excitement. He looked a little nervous and actually flinched when an angry voice echoed from the next room. (unnamed original)

Sa’asch trembled as she steered the car down the street. She fervently wished she could shut it off. Danny, in the passenger’s seat, could see she was agitated. (unnamed original)

Tom watched her move and sway, an almost provocative dance as she cleaned. He wasn’t sure if she was doing it on purpose or not. That was one of the problems he had with her; she was a tease. No, that wasn’t the right word. Not a tease, Sevi was a temptation, a terrible temptation in his book. (unnamed original)

He stood in front of her; a chance meeting, but that was impossible. He was a ghost; nothing more than a figment of her dreams. A squeak of surprise escaped her lips before she bolted from the department store. He blinked in shock, searching his memory for her name; it was not found, but there was no mistaking the abject look of terror in her eyes. Belatedly, it occurred to him to follow her. (Skimming the Pages… Stargate)

He wiped more rain out of his eyes as he slid the key into the lock. He hoped they had remembered to put a tarp over the dig site. It would be a mess already from this torrent, he really didn’t want to start over. Movement caught his eye and he turned; standing on the sidewalk was a young girl. (unnamed original)

Tom dragged in from work; exhausted from politely handling the droves of disgruntled holiday shoppers. The house was unusually quiet and he wondered if there was any dinner left. (unnamed original)

Jack watched the rather large tortie twitch her tail discontentedly. She was most displeased, and he had a feeling he was the cause. (unnamed original)

Trista shuffled through the papers she’d emptied from the desk drawer; mostly bills, junk mail, and amusing e-mails. A battered envelope fell into her lap. Her name was written across the front in curvy, looping letters; Calista’s handwriting.

I sat in the window and watched her weep into her pillow. Tears shed from a broken heart over a creature that merely saw life as nothing more than refuse; others were toys to be used and played with, then thrown away. (unnamed original)

“Jack?” At first Jack doesn’t respond. That voice can’t be real; but it calls to him again.

Face slouched in his chair with an air of defeat. He had emerged from the refresher after a relaxing shower to find Ton and the rest of the Wraiths MIA. When he finally located Ton, he discovered that Ton had purchased Face’s complete holodrama works. Ton was in a unlit lounge with Kell, Tyria, Runt, Piggy, and Donos. Face’s attempts to avoid the disgrace, or at least escape it, were in vain, as his fellow Wraiths forced him into a chair. Commander Antilles and Lieutenant Janson appeared near the end of The Black Bantha and Face thought the command staff would put an end to it. They only joined in and now the nine of them watched Jungle Flutes, on the wall of the darkened lounge.
(The Results of Boredom… Wraithsquadron Ficathon 06)(What Jack Saw… Torchwood)(Unsaid… original). (Tales from the Chaap’pai… Stargate)(Hermiod Story… Stargate Atlantis)(Angel… Firefly/Serenity)(Catharsis… original) (A Life Less Seen…. Wraithsquadron Ficathon 07)
This doesn’t even scratch the surface. Lots of unfinished stuff in my archives. If it’s underlined that means it’s posted somewhere. Feel free to comment w questions or curiosities.
