She's Alive!
Its been a while since I've posted so I don't know how long this one will be. I am still in Knoxville and probably will be for a while. I've gotten a job at a nice restaurant not too far from my house but off campus so I dont have to deal with quite as many annoying college students. The weather finally changed and cooled down so its actually quite pleasant outside and we're not using our AC anymore.
Yes, I did get engaged a couple of weeks ago. There is still no date set and there isnt likely to be for quite a while. We're basically waiting til we find "real jobs", as dictated by Adam's parents apparently. I cant say I'm too thrilled about it all but whatever I've waited five years to get the ring I can wait another year to set a date. I admit I'm halfway tempted just to give the ring back and tell him to propose again once he's actually ready to set a date. Its been a bit of a distraction lately for us, trying to get used to saying my fiance rather than my boyfriend. Also I admit to being more than a little obsessed with the ring, playing with it, etc. one of my friends accused me of sitting around my apartment just polishing my ring for hours which is blatently untrue but pretty funny.
Other stuff, I'm trying to get Beth to hurry up and fix my bike so I can go play around in the fun fall weather. We've watched three UT games now, and the season looks pretty bleak but I have Saturdays off so I can at least chill out in front of the bigscreen with a couple of beers and scream at the players.
Last night we just sat around and watched Top Chef and ordered in. The place down the street has the cheapest Mexican food delivery ever and its amazing. Soooo much food! I'm actually eating leftover chips for breakfast. We're minorly addicted to Top Chef and Project Runway. As in I'm addicted and I sucked Adam into watching these two shows, more Top Chef though. Season finale next week! OMG! I'm rooting for Casey or Dale now that C.J. has been kicked off. Casey seemed really boring in the earlier shows but has been pretty interesting since she has kicked it up a notch lately.
