A meme....
Decided i'd go ahead and do this since sweptawaybayou commanded it. :) It's weird to post a non-fic post but hey! It happens.
So - a meme about me and lj - wheeeeeee! I know, you all are just champing at the bit! But i know i have new friends, too, so...it might be interesting for you! If anybody wants to do this, feel free. I've got the questions with code and *no* answers saved to a .txt file for ease of use. I'll pop it in email or IM it to you if you want.
What is your LiveJournal username? How did you come up with it? I know a lot of you know,but... It's Tah-bar-key, who is the Jackal from Rudyard Kipling's 'The Jungle Books'. It was the jackal- Tabaqui, the Dish-licker- and the wolves of India despise Tabaqui because he runs about making mischief, and telling tales, and eating rags and pieces of leather from the village rubbish heaps. But they are afraid of him too, because Tabaqui, more than anyone else in the jungle, is apt to go mad, and then he forgets that he was ever afraid of anyone, and runs through the forest biting everything in his way. Even the tiger runs and hides when little Tabaqui goes mad, for madness is the most disgraceful thing that can overtake a wild creature. I feel that just really...fits.
Have you renamed before? If so, what were your old names? If you haven't renamed, what names would you want to rename to? I've never renamed, and don't intend to. I like my username.
How much does your userinfo say about you? Very little. I don't care to put a lot of information up there.
How long have you been on LiveJournal? Date created: April 25, 2004.
What is the longest amount of time you've gone without posting? Probably about eight or ten days? Heh.
On average, how many entries do you post per day? (Divide how many total entries you have by how many days you've been on LJ.) 2.9! Or so says the math, which is...untrue, as i pretty much *never* post more than once a day. I think i've done it three or four times max.
What are your posts normally about? The bigger percentage is about fic, as in - fic posts. But also about myself/my family and sometimes things like Veterans Day and such. Not *terribly* personal, but a little.
Is your LiveJournal friends only? Why or why not? Nope. Not one flocked post since i started. A few fic posts got back-flocked for about a week due to LJ insanity, but it didn't last. Edit: I've flocked some personal entries, mostly because they have personal info/pictures in them.
Does your LiveJournal have an actual title or are you merely USER @ LiveJournal? Other Scarecrows, since my website is Scarecrow Horses.
How long do you see yourself staying on LiveJournal? For as long as i'm in the fandoms and my fandoms are here.

How many people are on your friendslist, not counting private journals, media journals, etc? 221
Why do you choose to add a person to your friendslist? I friended *everyone* back at first, but then i stopped because my flist was getting insane. Now i usually friend so i can follow a fic or if someone has pimped someone to me and i like what i see.
Is your friends list an actual list of people you consider friends, or more of a reading list? It's 99 percent a reading list, but there are some very special people that i'd be friends with no matter what.
How often do you read your friendslist? Ummmm. Three or four times a day. maybe five. or six. if i'm bored.
Do you use filters when viewing your friendslist? Nope
How much do you talk to people on your friendslist off of LiveJournal? I talk to sweptawaybayou every. single. day. :) Same for reremouse. I don't talk to darkhavens often enough. But that's really about it.
Do you do friends cuts? Why or why not? I have. Some people seemed to do just...memes, all the time. Or they stopped being in any fandom i was interested in, or they just stopped posting.
Do you regularly participate in friending memes? If not, how do you normally find people to friend? I don't. I think they're...weird. I dunno. Not to dis them, but...no. I friend mostly, like i said, to follow a fic or because someone has commented and they seem really interesting and i want to get to know them a little better.

Do you mostly use icons made by yourself or by others? Mostly by others, but i've made my defaults and some others since i've been here.
Do you have your own icon community? How often do you post in it? No, and no!
What fandoms are most frequently seen in your userpics? AtS/Buffy, Supernatural.
How do you find icons to use? Browse icon communities, mostly.
How often do you upload new icons to use in your userpics? As often as i have a neat new one or want to change. Once every couple weeks, probably.
Which of your userpics do you use the most? My default, of course. But the Supernatural one that is Sam and Dean's knees is about my favorite, as is the one of them walking side by side on a country road.
Which of your userpics do you like the most? Hrmmmm... I love my default but it *does* change.... I think the 'knees' one. Dunno why, just...yeah. :)

Do you contribute to fandom? If so, by way of what? Yes! I write, and i comment. A lot. :)
Have you ever read (or been featured on) fandom_wank? I read it often, and was on there once. Via another lj...*whistles*.
What is one thing you wish you could change about fandom? I wish people could be more genuine in their opinions, particularly about fanfic and whatnot, without getting attacked for being 'meeeeeeeeean'! We *are* mostly adults - it would be nice if actual debate and concrit could happen without people having tantrums or doing the flounce!journal!delete!
