On Tuesday we've had a movie evening. We've seen the Disney version of the Junglebook, which was great to watch again after such a long time. I didn't remember the big cats, Shir Khan and Bagheera, moving so fluently in that flick. Shir Khan in particular is expertly drawn and animated.
The other film we watched is called Kaena, and it's a 2003 computer render movie for kids. (I guess) As I vaguely remembered, the story wasn't all that good - it felt as though they'd changed it so often that at some point they forgot to take a step back and see whether it can still be understood by someone who hasn't been writing it himself. But I have a theory: the heroine was so, um, well developed and scantily clad that I don't see how you could easily put -less- cloth on her without making it an adult flick. I think that was done so that the male audience would think they didn't catch the story because they were, um, distracted.
Between the flicks, we've had lasagna. A good choice because it's easily prepared and usually tasty enough. ^^
I'd made a small web page on which I had written all the details like when to meet, what we'd watch and so on. I think that worked well, better at least than telling the same details to everyone all over again. I think I'll be doing that more often.
