Diz et Afrobeat
I was listening to a few Tony Allen tracks this morning and found every single one mesmerizing. Upon looking at his bio, I noticed that Dizzy Gillespie was one of his influences. Considering that Tony Allen was one of the founders of Afrobeat music, you can easily say that Diz had a hand in creating an entire musical legacy (apart from Bebop, of course) with his little bent trumpet.
