SHareCon-- what a beautiful thing!
SHareCon completely and totally exceeded my expectations. What a beautiful, wonderful, awesome time I had seeing flamingoslim, and hardboiledbaby again and to finally meet so many wonderful people I've been friends with only online like anachron, spencer5460, mvernet, freshcandy, silver_chipmunk, loyseofverlaine, dppatricks, dawnebeth and to meet so many others like Kat, Cyanne, Chocolate Egg, ksstarfire, Suzan Lovett, and so many others, people I've not been able to chat with on LJ but whose work I've admired. I cannot begin to express how great it is to have faces to go with the names I've been seeing for years attached to the fics and vids I enjoy so much.
I probably slept less than 12 hours in 4 days with traveling by overnight trains and staying up until 3am at the con, but it was one of the best weekends I've ever had. I loved it so much. I really hope I never have to miss one in the future.
I had an opportunity to teach a few people how to LJ, so I'm hoping they show up eventually to enjoy the SH communities here. But if not, I shall continue to pimp their brilliant creations here.
If anyone out there on my f-list hasn't been to a SHareCon and has the slightest desire..... GO FOR IT!!! the next time. you won't regret it!
PS... I'm so happy to have bid on and won in the auction an original copy of the GOLIATH. Suzan signed it for me and it really means the world to me. I feel so lucky!
