Since I know a lot of my friends on here are diving into the same thing I am... ie weight loss, healthy lifestyle etc I thought I would share this article. I hear people say the scale isn't changing and it frustrates me.
This article is all about ditching the scale for other, usually more positive ways, to measure our progress with fitness and diet. I really love this article. For a long time I've dropped dress sizes but not weight, in fact I've gained weight. That whole adage of "muscle weighs more than fat" fails you when you work your ass off with exercise and eating right only to see numbers inching up on the scale. Nothing discourages me as much as those numbers so I'm ditching the bastards. I think I'm going to go with waist/hip measurements and how much I can run as a goal instead of those stupid numbers.
