Funniest conversation ever.

So I was at the museum this morning to over hear a small boy say: "OH Look she's naked." in reference to one of the statues.

A little girl responded without looking. "No she's not. It's too cold outside to be naked."

A second boy piped up. "Look she really is naked!" The three children looking to be 7 or 8 stopped me and the first boy asked. "Why is she naked?"

This is the usual questions and we all get pretty good at answering them. "That is how the artist sculpted her." I replied trying not to laugh.

"Oh." The children seemed satisfied except for the first little boy. "Are girls allowed to be naked in the museum?"

I almost lost myself when I heard the question. "No. They are not." It was the only way to answer with the little girl expectantly looking up at me.

"Then why is she naked?" The boy insisted.

Smiling I told him quietly that when she (the statue) came to the museum they told her it was ok to be naked because she was a sculpture and sculptures are allowed to be naked."

The boy approved of my answer and I was on my way. I know there is someone that will be cursing me before the end of the day when they get asked about the museum telling the statues it is ok to be naked. **Snickers**

In other news, I applied for spring classes and started my application process for graduation. YAY. Spring term is all fun classes as the only requirement I have is a non-biology writing class. The schedule panned out with the following classes:

ANTH 0534 - PREHISTORIC FOUNDATIONS OF EUROPEAN CIVILIZATION
ANTH 0538 - THE ARCHEOLOGST LOOKS AT DEATH
BIOSC 1370 - BIOGEOGRAPHY
HIST 0788 - WOMEN & MEN IN ANCIENT MEDITERRANEAN SOCIETY WITH WRITING PRACTICUM

I think this should be a fun semester. I've been wanting to take the "Look at Death" class since I got to PITT. By the gods I made sure I took it. Biogeography is a new class and I am excited to take that too. I am all about Spring semester. Here's hoping I pass Physics II. That is the only wall in my way still. I am going to ask the teacher to give me some help with it I think before next test. **Crosses fingers** All I want is a C and I will be happy. :)
