two whole weeks. during one of which i was icky sick. but still. this has lasted long enough now that it might start to become habit... we'll see after two more weeks. and after the bf gets home. :)
so there was some cheating this week, which has led me to think that i should isolate foods to see which foods cause the upset. i kind of went crazy yesterday, no? so today i sorta got back on track...
breakfast: arugula with ground turkey
snack: raisins (from conor's oatmeal) and double espresso with foam
lunch: chicken fingers with ketchup (breaded, but still protein?!)(gave me burps- the spice mixture in the breading did NOT agree with my tummy)
snack: two clementines and one apple
dinner: arugula with a little ground turkey, half an avocado and bleu cheese
dessert: one piece dark chocolate.
i told myself i could have a snack after dancing tonight, but i don't think i need it. i might have more avocado if my tummy feeling is hunger and not thirst.
exercise: nerdfitness beginner weight routine, THREE TIMES!, stretching, and about an hour & 1/2 of slow tempo dancing
i'm a little less ecstatic about accomplishing my weight routine tonight than i was on tuesday, but i'm still really proud. and already starting to see muscle definition in my shoulders. because my muscles love lifting weights and tend to "remember" pretty quickly- that year of weightlifting with mom at the y in high school is still helping me out. :)
i feel stronger, and i feel that even though i am sore, i am less hurt. if that makes sense. my chronic shoulder pain is still twinge-y, but it's less painful and i am getting fuller shoulder rotations than pre-exercise.
about the tummy- i ate loads of crap yesterday (ok, well not even crap, but a lot of sugar and flour) and my tummy was NOT happy with me. it's interesting how quickly one's body can get used to a particular diet, especially when it seems to work well with one's body chemistry. the working out is giving me more energy, and also making singing easier (though i have WAY more practicing after working out to do to prove that).
ok! it's past my bedtime! (i wish dancing started earlier)
sleep well, internets. more tomorrow.
