ok getting harder to remember to post. ;)
today was tough because i was at work, faced with many bad food choices... (btw, i nanny full time now, so i'm working in someone else's home) i didn't do entirely perfectly, but have identified ways to either substitute foods or just not eat them. also i need to figure out how to get up early enough to have breakfast at home before work- when i end up eating at work, it's usually a few hours after i've been awake and i'm STARVING by then.
breakfast: half an apple, 2 egg omelet with cheddar & ketchup, irish breakfast tea with milk but no sugar
lunch: casserole over baked potato (with some of conor's brats & potatoes since he liked my food better)
snack: half an apple with BAD BAD BAD jif peanut butter (solution- buy natural PB to eat at work), irish breakfast tea with milk but no sugar
snack: roasted sweet potatoes with apples and cinnamon
dinner: red chicken chili
dessert: more roasted sweet potatoes/apples with a little greek yogurt
exercise: walk home (one and a half miles) from the music library (i achieved another goal today and picked out some new rep to learn and perform)
2 circuits through of the the nerdfitness beginner body weight routine
thoughts on breakfast foods:
NEED PROTEIN & veggies. eggs, chicken, ham? omelets/fritattas baked the night before with yummy veg, smoothies with fruit and yogurt...
yes. the importance of cooking large batches of meals on the weekends when i have time... or when conor is napping...
thoughts on dairy:
kinda wondering if i should do a few weeks entirely without dairy, then try certain foods one at a time to see how my body responds... but for now i need the mental crutch, so maybe that's a goal for later.
thoughts on weight:
i'm gonna have to hide the scale. i'm impatient for results, but have made a commitment to not weigh myself for a month. yup. gonna have to hide the scale. or ditch it. i need a more accurate scale, anyways...
kay, time for bed!
