Wow...has it been so long since I wrote? Does anyone care? I don't!
My new house is over a year old, and I love it still. I'm still doing the roommate thing until I find out if I got National Boards, which I won't know until December. Right now, my ex lives with me, but it's not awkward at all. He respects my living space, and we're just friends.
Teaching is still going well; I love my job and my kids. I hate all the budget cuts and the fact that I haven't gotten a raise in four years. I don't feel quite burnt out yet, but I don't know how long I can live on such low pay. I was told when I started that I'd get a dang raise every year, but that's been a no-go for every teacher in NC for four years. Children are our future...so let's screw them over now. Great. :(
