Freakin' awesome!

When I'm up, I'm up, and when I'm down, I'm down.  Today was freakin' AWESOME.  I had a great teaching day today.  My English I kids were so amazing with the Holocaust activity I did with them today.  My Honors English I kids didn't so well with it last week, so I wasn't very encouraged to do it with my regular kids.  It turned out soooo well though.  I taught them Say Anything's, "Alive with the Glory of Love" song/lyrics as an intro. to the train activity with the powerpoint of photos.  The kids really got into it, reflected on the gravity of the event, and had great questions.  It was just so amazing!  Second period (Honors English III) worked on research paper stuff in the library and did a good job of being productive.  Third period (Honors English I) was also pretty awesome.  They worked on finishing up Night assignments (journals, essays, and poems).  They are enjoying it though, so that's the amazing part.  I like when kids do good work and enjoy it as well.

I also got all the last minute Disney items finished and covered and under control.  We leave tomorrow at 8 p.m.!  I've got some movies packed for the bus ride (tvs on the bus), snacks, a blanket, and my main luggage bag packed.  I'm so freakin' pumped to be done planning this damn trip.  It will be fun, although not the same without Becky, but I'm ready to be done with it.

Things with Chris are going very well.  My new batch of green Orchids will be arriving on Tuesday or Wednesday.  He made sure they will arrive AFTER my Disney trip, so they won't die while I'm gone.  He's freakin' awesome and thoughtful.  I haven't dated a guy in a long time that was excited about the relationship.  He's more excited than me.  He wants to go on a cruise with me in June.  I don't see an issue with that, as long as we're still together.  He's working on getting a new car tomorrow or Monday.  If he can't get it tomorrow with his paper work, he will fly to Florida and do it, then drive back to VA in the new car.  He's from Florida, and that's where all his junk is.  He was born in Japan and adopted at age one, so sometimes the paper work is confusing and what not, not to mention is awesome tickets and junk from speeding.  Anyhow, he's awesome nonetheless.

I love my new car still.  I have gotten a ton of compliments on it.  I'm almost done with my Teacher of the Essays.  Woooo!  I don't think I have a chance of winning at the next level, but it's still exciting to try.

I just feel awesome today, especially because Brownie is doing better.  Woooo hoooo!  Great day!
