News: Tracklisting for CONTRAST SILVER Posted

Dec 02, 2012 08:48

So on Friday they posted the tracklisting for this upcoming album. I erased the details because there's a lot of it that I'm sure many are not THAT interested in, but I can give you a gist of the run down. First, the tracklist:

1. mister Coherent
2. カタルリズム (CATALRHYTHM)
3. Know orange
4. HEAVEN
5. Achromatic habit
6. reject
7. Anocent
8. Elephant over
9. Cold hands
10. garden gate
11. sleepy seaside hamlet

Track #1, "mister Coherent" is Tatsuhisa's composition (I think a first at least with OCD if not once in a long time since the original mini-album *can't remember mini-album credits*). According to the last few entries of his diary, he's been in music production bootcamp so basically, yay he has something to show us! I'm actually really looking forward to seeing his progression and I hope one day, he can do the composition, arrangement, and lyrics himself.

YORKE. has mainly been the one in charge of the lyrics from here on out since CATALRHYTHM. The only exceptions being "reject" and "Cold hands", which were singles that came out before RON left.

Luna Sea's INORAN is credited for the composition and arrangement for the song HEAVEN, which is going to be played on TV Asahi's BREAK OUT as an opening theme for December, which should get them LOTS of attention and press.

The rest of the compositions and arrangements were outsourced to other people who specialize in that and YORKE. has just been applying lyrics to them. Most of them are likely from Lantis' pool of songwriters/composers that they have on staff and other personnel they work with that have songwriting prowess. INORAN, of course, probably came in through connection with Ryo and is headlining news to get more attention on OCD due to the collaboration. I've seen a number of INORAN's fans comment on his Facebook page that they're going to check out OCD now just because of this collaboration and have seen an increase in followers to the Twitter after the news.
