aaand more stuff..
aaaaaaand I'll post this while he's doing thesis work! Yay!
I talked him into calling of of work today, so that's pretty awesome.
Yesterday while he was working on some thesis stuff I went and wandered the campus and the town. I found this absolutely amazing book store. It's mostly used books and there are just some awesome ones there it's piles and piles of books. This is the kind of place that I've heard tell about, and had yet to experience. I'm completely enamored.
After stopping in at an equally awesome celtic shop and finding a keychain with the Anderson crest on it( I avoided jewelry, I'm proud of myself...) I wandered the campus and took some great shots of the scenery and the buildings before coming back to pester Art into taking me back to the ruins. I got a good shot or two of those that I'm going to play with a bit to try to adjust the lighting, and I got a cool shot of Art against the colorful mountains in the background.
As we had nothing planned I pestered him to head down towards the mountains and so we went on this nifty little hiking trail, along the river. Let me tell you though...it was great until we were going back to campus as it was all uphill, ew.
I saw VMI when we went driving around, gorgeous looking school, but decidedly prison like. I would not want to attend there, I can say that. Still, very very cool for me to have seen.
I don't think I'm ever going to recover from the lack of sleep from this trip. We were up late last night, I introduced Art to The Boondock Saints; he's now a fan, this makes me exceedingly happy.
Tonight is sushi for dinner(it was a hit with us both, obviously. Watching him learn to use the chopsticks was by far the best part though! ^_^), and then I have no idea what until we go off to play wizard's chess at midnight. I'm hoping I can manage to convince him to find a party...maybe at the local SNu chapter? *grins*
