Damn. what a hell of a friggin night.
I opened the top part of the windows yesterday cuz it was really hot. No gonna do that again. Check it.....
And when you adopt a pair of kitties and they tell you not to give them any wet food, HEED THAT WARNING!!!!! O_o
So we get a call from a friend in Lake City to come out and visit for a few hours. we get in the car and head out. we get to the UW and stop at a red light and the car dies on the spot and doesn't even want to try to turn over. I suspect a dead alternator. Well, I pushed the car while Seth steered it out of traffic and parked it at Huskey Stadium. That was at about 7pm. spent the next few hours checking all the fuses which were fine, and left the car there to go and grab a bite to eat and have some beer since the car wasn't gonna move. hung out till about 11ish and made it back to the car and called a tow truck. they were backed up with cops impounding cars so we were stuck at Husky stadium untill about 3 in the morning waiting on a tow truck to show up. towed it to a auto shop and made it back home at about 4.
When we got home, there was an awful smell from kitties having explosive poo problems (sorry for the info!) cuz I didn't heed the wet food warning. looked for kitties, no kitties. then I heard a "MEOW!" from outside.
Next warning, don't leave the windows open for Kitties to dive 2 stories to the ground below. Miracuously, they were fine, but freaked out cuz they couldn't get back in. Got one cornered and then slipped out of my hands. Found her again later and when I put a firm hand hold on her so she wouldn't get away, I was met with the "Claws and Fangs of Death". My right hand got it's ass (if hands had asses) shredded. She sank her fangs in 3 times and shook her head from side to side after each bite, and got a huge gash from a claw between my palm and thumb. Strangely enough, it doesn't hurt, just sore. Feels like a bruise. I had to let her go cuz I didn't want to get shredded anymore. We eventually caught her and got her inside. The other one made a 12 foot leap into a basement level hole and had nowhere to run. Had to get a ladder, climb down, put her into a kitty carrier, and got her inside. I washed my hand 3 times with antibacterial soap, drentched the wounds in Hydrogen peroxide twice, and once in Alcohol.
Everything is almost back to normal, except the car is in the shop (It was a bad alternator) and my hand looks a lot worse than it really feels.
It's now 10:30am and I'm fading.
Wish she didn't have to go to work, cuz she's prolly running on slight sleep dep too. :(
Need to make sure I don't run a fever from Teh Kitteh related injuries. At least the hospital is a block away in case I need to go in.
So, when shit hits the fan, it kinda did, figuratively and litterally! O_o | o_O
