Hello?
I feel silly doing this since I haven't been here in such a horrifyingly long time, but I never intended to vanish quite so completely. So just a small check-in here, for anyone who happens to be taking a stroll through the neighborhood. (It should fit nicely into the "Hey, whatever happened to...?" category. :‐)
Coming for a while then going for a while is my usual m.o. anyway, but this go round the "whatever happened" mostly belongs to The Untamed (for starters), which turned into an entire galaxy of related black holes I'm apparently never going to emerge from. (CQL. Other c-dramas i want to watch but have only had time to see tiny clips of. YiZhan/turtlehood- obsessively, and there is SO MUCH. ALL THE TIME. Dance: Yibo, holy hell. Street Dance Of China. Music: Xiao Zhan, Yibo. Our Song. Day Day Up, the Yibo years.
Music: the recent discovery that some of k-pop *feeds my soul* - my newly-birthed spotify playlist is 4 hours now and keeps growing. WOODZ.
JONGHYUN. Oh my god, Jonghyun. His voice makes me want to wail and pound my fist against the wall and ascend to a higher plane of existence.
The utterly unrealistic, extremely unlikely to be realized desire to be able to speak and read both Mandarin and Korean. (As if.))
And that's for starters - this list of Black Holes That Have Pulled Me In Inexorably keeps *growing* without any of the previous ones losing their pull. (It's daunting. Glorious, but daunting.)
In aid of some of this obsession, I keep an eye on Twitter...which makes me so deeply grateful I first chanced upon fandom here, with TS and its lovely, lovely people. *beams at everyone, whether or not you're currently an LJ/DW person or not - even if you were only around for my first couple of months here way back when, I promise I remember you with delight*
Anyway, hello from the vasty deeps of the unrelenting (Untamed, if you will :-)) obsessions that are very, very good at drowning me - if you're here to read this, please feel HUGGED. :-))
