Yeah, so I've been listening to a lot of Dick Dale recently and stuff. And everytime I hear a bunch of songs from a band that are all really good, I start to get ideas in my head for new songs and junk. All the surf music just keeps giving me new ideas for songs and junk. I've came up with a few new concepts for some songs. Their a bit surf but at the same time they kinda sound like something Sonic Youth would play. It's kinda fast like a surf song but it's weird like an experimental song. That's what I love about music. Two totally different sounds can sound really really good when their blended together the right way. If only there were six strings on the guitar instead of just five. Then I could actually get some work done. That one string isn't crucial or anything but it would help out a lot.
I've been getting asked by a few people, like 2, "when's the next Orgasms show?". We actually aren't really playing right now. Our drummer Robert thought that it would be a good idea if he could just take his drums home and get in some solo practice and stuff. He thought he was a bit rusty. But this has actually gave me and my brother a chance to gather ideas amongst ourselves, as well as together, for some new songs. Right now, our biggest priority is finding somewhere that can record a demo for us on cd for a fairly cheap price. Cause really, $300.00 for a 5 or 3 song recording? Fuuuuck that, man. So far, the only demo we have is this piece of shit recording we made using this little sound mixer. We just hooked it up to out ghetto blaster and stuff. We didn't have any sophisticated shit. We just used a single microphone in the center of the room and hoped that it would catch the guitar, drums, and vocals in the air. It caught all of the sound but the vocals kinda overpower everything else. But other than that, it actually came out alright. We just recorded it onto this blank tape that we bought. So that's our temporary demo until we can record ourselves on a cd.
Ummm.... not much else to say right now and stuff. So yeah. Dick Dale.
