contract work, goodwill, hardrive failuer and toy guns
This entry is going to be a bit of a mixed bag. I'll try not to ramble too much.
-contract work-
Friend of mine from school contacted me Tuesday night saying he had some contract work for me. I finished up today and everyone liked my work. Always a good thing. One guy from work(I don't really know his position but he's high up there) who was overseeing the project liked the work we were doing so much he took us out to lunch to this place called Craft Burger. Was the best damn burger I had in a loooooong time. It sounds like I might have some more work from Infusion next week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed =]
-hardrive failure-
For anyone who didn't know, my laptop has been on its death bed for about a week. I've been getting lots of fun messages such as: (these are shortened btw)
"Delayed Write Failure..."(got this one a lot while browsing the net)
(this one showed up 4 or 5 times after the dozens of BSODs I got)
"SMART Failure Predicted on Hard Disk 0... A failure may be imminent"
(this showed up twice. Windows only booted after the first time lol)
"...Operating system not found."
As it stands I know my hardrive is dead. Nothing of value was lost. I also realize that I only need to buy a new HD to get my laptop up and running again... but honestly this thing is 5 years old and showing it(cracks in the case and screen). Its about time I got a laptop that isn't a complete piece of crap. I'm considering maybe getting a netbook but that is something I'll actually look into when I can afford it.

Went to goodwill today for the first time in months. Managed to find a N64(with cables) with one controller, rumble pak, and 8 games(zelda:OOT, pilotwings 64, wave race 64, star wars: rogue squadron, star wars: shadow of the empire, mission impossible, quake 2 and shadowman...ya, I never heard of that last one either haha). All that for just $10 so thats a pretty sweet haul XD
-toy guns-
Found a place on Spadina that has some full scale M16 toy guns. I picked up two broken ones for $4 (no sound but they still look cool though). The scope, fore-grip and laser are all detachable and the stock is adjustable
pop can is there for size reference.
I think I might go into that store again on sunday to see if I missed anything.
