Did Day 9 tonight.

I stand by what I said to Angie - doing a full body workout every day for a short period really is amazing. Now, we both learned in the Army and from reading Fitness, Fit and Self for several years that you can't effectively train one muscle by working it every day. I still believe that. However, that's focusing on one muscle, like with weight lifting. A whole body workout, every day, has a different effect. (BTW - push ups and sit ups and leg lifts are more efficiently done every other day but you can still get results slightly faster doing them every day because they work several major muscle groups.)

I didn't feel it in my legs tonight as much, and I wasn't able to get a burn in my torso, but my upper back between the shoulders and my very lower back between my butt cheeks feel tender like they've been worked hard. I thought I was doing something wrong because I couldn't feel the same muscle groups day after day - like, am I holding the pose wrong? I know one can always improve one's form, but I really think that this is what I should feel - each day, a new set of muscles are being worked as I systematically exhaust the major groups and the minor groups have to kick in.

My legs, upper back and arms feel different. They may even look different. The measurements are the same. I think I need to hide my tape measure with Sarah so I stop obsessing. I know by now that it always comes off my extremities first - the last place I store it is the first place it comes off. Meaning, my belly may take a while. Grrr.
