you picked some awesome bands!!! the adicts, sex pistols, and rancid are some of my favorites. Really cute recons, especially the gathering on the adicts shirt. is that o-rings on the straps of the who shirt?
Thanks! I love PR and I love being a girl. I hate boxy men's t's for bands I love. Good eye, yep those are o-rings, if you decided to use them, it is super easy with a zipper foot. The gathering really adds to the shape and makes it less rectangle-ish. They also make the shirt sit nicely on the hips and booty and if you wanted to wear it like a mini-dress, it's long enough without looking like you are just running around in a t-shirt.
i heart rancid, they are my favorite band of all time ever, that tee is so cute! and i love the gathering on the adicts one, i have an extremely long buzzcocks shirt i reconned and that is such a great idea for the bottom. :D
The gathering (I call it a swag) is super easy, this is how I do it in 5 minutes! -Lay the shirt flat and make sure hem is lined up -Fold in half -Fold the half in half -Now just take your chalk and mark about 5 inches up from the hem seam line on 4 folded edges and magically you have marked all the lengths of the four different sides (2 front, 2 back) you will sew on. AND they are all equadistant. -Use a straight edge to draw a line from the mark to the hem (I actually only go to the seam, not the edge itself of the hem). -You can either use elastic and a zig-zag stitch or just do regular rouching. I like the elastic because it seems to have more durability than regular rouching. *Gosh, I hope that makes sense...*
