A few days back I posted a question about a pattern for a "thick hoodie," and I got a few different and very helpful responses, but they weren't quite the kind of hood I was looking for. I had a bout of inspiration, spent a few hours on the floor with a ruler and at the sewing machine, broke a needle, cursed a lot, posted on Facebook that I broke a needle, changed the needle, finished sewing, and took pictures.
See, that's what I meant by "folded in front" - there are seams around the curve of the hood and attaching it to the shirt, but there's a fold that sits on the front of the face instead of a seam.
Oh hoodies, I love you so. I'm really proud of this one. ^^
