I work at Hollister in the mall, and while i fold clothes i hav the chance to see all the cute things they're selling and the items outrageous prices.... One night as i was working late i came across a totally cute hooded vest and instantly became infatuated---- instead of paying the price for it i decided to have fun and sew! I just used it as an inspiration and turned the idea of a hooded-faux- fur-trimmed hoodie into something me ^o^ So here it is!
First i started with an ill-fitting vest i found at a thrift store:
And I used the bottom band of a hoodie i never really wore:
And I lined the hood of the vest with this mens shirt:
And used fuax-fur I found at Wal-mart in the kids craft section:
And here's the final product:
Fur is removable for washing (buttons attach it):
Ive always had lots of fun t-shirt/shirt/tops reconstructing and ive even inspired my mom to start up : )
