so, my awesome friend gave me 4 shirts to reconstruct for her and here are the results!
(none of these are for sale)
andy warhol shirt
she requested that i added a waistband tie on for her so i used grey houndstooth. =)
i added 3 little buttons and made sure to pick colours found within the print.
the beatles: rubber soul shirt
she told me that this shirt was too short for her liking and told me that i could add a waistband tie to this one as well OR do whatever i wanted. obviously, i decided to do something different. =) so i cut the neckline off and made a V-backed neckline. i also cut off the sleeves and finished it off with the same fabric i used for the kangaroo pocket. i then added a thick waistband to add the extra length that she requested originally.
love makes peace tunic
this tunic was made from a t-shirt found in the children's section of H&M. it was actually i size 10 shirt. her comment was that this top had sleeves that were much too tiny. so using her request of making this tee into a tube top, i kept the length of the shirt and added sheer burn-out side panels. on the back of the top i added a love/peace sign cut out. i think that it turned out great!
lucky tee dress
this dress was made from a once loose fitting t-shirt. her request was to just simply make the shirt more exciting! i used blue fabric with silver stars for the bust, i gathered the centre front bust and added 2 little white star buttons. the side panels are orange and i finished off the back with 2 strips of white grommet tape and laced it up with green ribbon. =D
as always, thank you for looking! & thanks for all your kind comments! i appreciate it very much!
