This is the beginning of my last week in Modesto.
Our supervisors are too busy to be at the large presentation on Friday, where all of the WPI MQPs will be presented, so we had to do a presentation today as well. It was nice though, because they basically treated it as a practice run and suggested some minor style changes here and there. Two other engineers were present who weren’t up to speed with our project, and they followed along, so I’d say they we did a good enough job. Everyone has been very excited with our data, and today was no exception, and that pleases me so much.
The biggest thing out of the meeting today was the action items. After a meeting last week, my supervisor wanted me to follow through with this stuff I told him to do a month ago. It’s too bad he didn’t listen to me then, but now he wants holes drilled on the top of the enclosure to ensure air flow through the box. But Keith, the big dog, over ruled him today, and said we need to wait for the brandy makers to sample before we can change the experiment. Score, less pointless work for me this week.
I actually am already more than half way packed, which is remarkable. I did it so I don’t have to lug around a lot of useless clothes all over the country and I shipped a lot of clothes home today via UPS, but still. A few other things made the journey home, some things I’ve collected over my journeys, other odds and ends. I also made a trip to the wine store today, and sent a box of different stuff home. Sending wine over state borders is illegal, so I’m actually sending books, shh, it’s a secret to everybody.
Other than that, more of Modesto’s top activities have been played out, and I’m pretty sure we’re all pitch professionals now. Rummy died out, basically because I was tooling on everyone, with a lead verging on 750 points or something ridiculous. It’s all in the skills. I ate at a Round Table pizza again today, real good, but real expensive, beleive it or not the prices haven't changes since I was there last. I think I'm going to write a review of all the places I ate at out here, yes, look foward to that soon.
In other news I started a
new webshots. You only get 240 photos in a free webshots account, here's to screwing the system.
1 day down, the countdown has begun.
