Best Halloween Ever.
I know three people who missed a kick-ass time tonight. Rosa. James. Chris.
Oh, Job makes four. :P
I wasn't planning to go to Myra's subdivision's Halloween thing today. I was supposed to chaperone little cousins nearer to Riverbanks. I wasn't even planning to wear my costume today. I was gonna be jeans and t-shirt, a normal... whatever you call someone my age. :P
My aunt told me, before she left for lunch, that my little cousin had decided not to trick-or-treat. Yesterday, at the mall, she saw women in scary costumes and was scared out of trick-or-treating. Hee. My other little cousin's parents hadn't made any plans with us. So I had nobody to chaperone. Quickly, I sought permission to go to Myra's event, then. Permission received.
Tonight rocked.
It started off with trick or treating.
Val got an award for best in costume.
It was so much fun, going with Myra and Lex and all to the grouping area before the trick-or-treating started. I loaned my candy bag to Macky, on the condition that he'd give me some candy later. (Got a chocolate bar. The only sort I appreciate. YUMness ^__^)
Myra and Lex drew nearly every eye. Its so awesomely weird and fun to be in the group that EVERYONE is turning to look at, and stare at. :) Yumm...
Lex made babies cry. He also made teenagers gasp. Younger kids skitter. Mothers shield or avert their eyes...
Myra's screaming drew those eyes back, though, especially when Lex was... Ah... :3 (hee!)
We went back to Myra's house, to get ready for giving out candy. Fun fun funn... Sitting on a banig munching and playing with kittens. While Lex gurgles 'blood' at the kittens. ^___^

I actually scared people this time. The key, I realized, was keeping my mouth shut. And staying still. ^____^ Rah! People took my picture, asked if I was real and screamed and jumped back when I shifted to 'look' at them.
But Myra and Lex, damn, they stole the show. Children, babies, parents... When the crowd came (guided in groups for the trick-or-treating), some had second thoughts about getting their candy from bloody, ravenous Lex... And some were so antsy to grab the candy and run, especially with Myra's screaming... (Myra, being the victim, being chewed upon by Lex... Oh, it was wonderful, but I was too statue to turn and watch. I was enjoying attention of my own. Hee.)
We had just enough candy for the one group (there were four groups on different routes around the neighborhood).
After that, light still out, Myra, Lex, and I began to roam.
Oh, the children we scared. Oh, the teenagers we scared. The adults and old ladies, as well. There was one group of guys and bakla who were especially screamy and howl-y over us. Oh, it was wonderful, wonderful fun.
At one point, after Val and Mica joined our group (Val as the bloody nurse+knife, Mica as a lady shrouded in black)... There was a group of people who were looking antsy at us five. Lex grinned, counted to three, and Mica, Val, and Lex RAN after the people, who scattered in every direction and ran away. I had hesitated to run because of my damn long skirt. Myra wasn't in a condition to run. But I watched em run, and I grinned at Myra.
"This is the BEST Halloween, EVER."
No other Halloween experience in my memory can compare to the awesome and FUN of tonight.
And it was hardly even dark yet.
Later, we went to buy dinner stuff at Cherry Foodarama. Lex, Mica, Val(without knife) and I went in (removing our masks till we were finished paying for the groceries)...
The poor cashier lady. EVERY cashier and bagger watched our group, as Lex snuck up behind the ever so nervous cashier lady, asking if we'd get a discount... I got Lex to quit scaring her. The poor thing. All the other cashier ladies were laughing, glad not to be the ones ringing up our food. HEE.
On the way out of the grocery, all four of us in nearly-full costume (Val lacked a knife, but she and Lex were so damn bloody!)... The security guard stopped us. He opened his log book...
and offered us fliers for house and lots. XD Ah, what a scare! XD
The food rocked. Rocked rocked rocked.
And we scared more people, before Lex and Mica finally brought me home. (So much fun, poor taxi driver).
And if you decide not to read the LJ cut: Val got best in costume. Bloody fun. We nearly got arrested. XD Tonight ROCKED.
