I'm home for the weekend. Feels nice to be home...it's funny because last year I never wanted to be home. Things weren't good with my family and I was too busy running amok on campus to care about home. Now, as much as I enjoy school, I was really sick and feeling yucky and coming home feels good. :)
It's snowing, but not enough...I wish it would really snow, like snowstorm snow. It's February and we haven't even had a snowstorm ...wtf.
I played my 20 questions music game on the ride home yesterday with TJ and it guessed Paula Abdul, 311, Alice in Chains, and Snoop Dogg. haha we were pretty impressed. I don't know how the hell it got Paula Abdul...i was freaked out.
TJ brought me the first season of lost last weekend. HIm and Tamreh always tell me how much they love the show but obviously you can't just start watching a show like that right in the middle so I never bothered getting into it. But yeah I watched 24 episodes in 3 days...absolutely amazing. I'm addicted. It's crazy and intense and makes you think. And i like the complexity of the characters, and how you really get attached to them and invested in their survival. And the supernatural twist it has going on is enough to keep you a little on edge and freaked out the whole time you are watching it. If anyone has access to the first season I recommend they pop it in, because there is no one who wouldn't like it.
Superbowl on Sunday. I tried to tell myself at first that I wouldn't watch it because I was so shattered over smug, ugly Peyton Manning's defeating us finally in the playoffs. But I' okay with it now, and I like football too much not to watch. And any of you who may not care one way or the other who wins, please just root for the Bears. Peyton sucks. I mean, he is an amazing quarterback who's talent is undeniable. But he is overrated and he is arrogant and the media has absolutely shoved him in my face far too much He holds a lot of records. That's because he's a quarterback with 3 of the top wide receivers in the NFL. And yes, he beat us finally. But we absolutely murdered him in the first half of that game, and only in the fourth quarter did he finally rally, after our team was too tired from injuries and half the players had the FLU! So whatever, go Bears. I cant wait until next year. We have just the right combination of solid experienced rookies and veteran players coming out from this season that we can pull it off next season. It's amazing that the Pats went as far as they did with so many injuries and no solid wide recievers.
i'm appealing my speeding ticket on Monday. If I don't get it taken off I'm screwed. So keep a good thought for me.
I decided that my favorite way to learn about the news is from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Because the media is so fucked and biased and out of control these days I just can't even take it seriously. At least this way, I can laugh and still have an idea of things that are going on.
Well i'm getting tired again and i'll probably lie down and watch reruns of awesome 90's shows on tbs and abc family all day. I'll probably go unload the dishwasher for my mom first though. She didn't ask me too, but we all know how much she loves when we do our chores without being asked, even if i am sick. hehe
