this is ridiculous. the current seven wonders have had their title for 2,200 years. why suddenly change that. if anything add on some. many of the candidates for the new seven should not be on the list.
there's candidates on there from close to b.c. obviously they are welcome on the list. theres a couple that had high significance in an entire culture. as for the statue of liberty, sydney opera house, and the eiffel tower they should be far from the list. they haven't even stood against the test of time and they were all built in under 10 years most likely. that's compared to the others in which took 900+ years to build. the christ redeemer is the least deserving candidate of the lot. first off it's only 76 years old. secondly the king james version of the bible states that construction of statues to idealize a being is "a sin".
being able to "make history" is a very exciting idea, but please do not support this.
