I'm stressed out. Starting on the 24th I was all set to transfer to another store in our district that was set to open up this Friday. The problem: The District and Regional managers are unhappy because there is an old gas station awning that is still in the parking lot that they out before we open. This means that the opening of my new store is pushed back anywhere from 7 to 60 days. The problem is that I am on the schedule at my old store until the 24th and then nothing. No hours and no home. My manager is being amazing and trying to find me hours, and he and the assistant manager are each taking a vacation day so that I can work their shifts. But now I, along with the other 20 displaced partners, are all scrambling to find hours at other stores. I can handle it for 2 weeks, but then after that I think that the managers of the other stores will be tired of trying to work us in to their schedules. I don't know what to do because while I have some extra to play with, it's not much. I also have a week's worth of vacation hours stored up, but It is still worrying.
