Lack of choice or choices is such a frustrating thing. Did you really leave little Neo with Smith, then? He looks doubtful as a nanny to me.

Not...exactly. We're still trying to figure it all out.

Such a pity my Nanny Slagg isn't about, or I'd suggest you leave him with her.

I wish she were. *sighs* I've got Neo til Wednesday, at least. This is just fucked up.

Well, if you're really in a bind, you might bring him over here. I could hold onto him for a bit. I've got a lovely attic full of toys. Although...I have a feeling they're a bit archaic by your standards. Still, nothing wrong with letting him run about with wooden swords and stuffed dragons and such, is there?

He'd probably love it. *small smile* Thanks. I might take you up on that, especially if things go as badly as I'm afraid they will.

Do let me know; I'll warn Steerpike and set up the gates so the boy won't go flying out of the treehouse.

I will, and soon. Though I don't think you'll need to worry about the gates. He'd just get around them, anyway.

Oh will he? Hmm. Is he rather indestructable? I remember they dropped my baby brother on his head during his Naming Ceremony, and it didn't do him any harm at all.

At least, none that we could tell.

...It's like that. If it does harm, you won't be able to tell.

He's...not so much indestructable as he tends to repair himself very well.

Well, I daresay he couldn't do much damage in just a few days. And our area seems to repair and reorganize itself quite well on its own. So all's well.

*coughs and may be covering laughter* Right. He couldn't do much damage in just a few days.

I'd really appreciate it if you would. I'll let you know when after I talk to Smith, if you don't mind.

That sounds fine to me, Trinity. Farewell until then!
