*The hours had been long, waiting for his cousin, mostly spent between standing sentinel and meditating himself. The conditions Takashi preferred when preparing himself sometimes seemed near-intoxicatingly strong, and sometimes he felt himself wanting to fall asleep, but he made sure to keep himself as alert as possible so that he could be there for his cousin whenever the moment came. And how it had.
*Mitsukuni closed his eyes and breathed in the sweet scent of the incense. It was finally time to begin, and hope and believe that Takashi would be able to answer some of the many questions about what their dormmate['s body] had said.
*Of course, to start out with, he asked the same question that began almost every reading session*
*Mori exhaled... watching the swirling incenses-mist dancing in the wind of his breath own.*
Darkness walking... and a light yet-to-come. *the darkness was a man, and the light a child with two faces... but these were just feelings and could not be communicated, or even remembered longer than a moment.*
*Darkness and light. Often standing in for good and evil, but could also be the known and the unknown, blindness and sight, sleep and awakening, and a miriad of other things. (On the rare occasion, it was the darkness that actually was good against an overpowering light...)
*He could assume the good and evil for now, without knowing more. He'd have to keep an open mind, and not take the words too far beyond face value until the reading was done, but having a possible interpretation in mind sometimes helped to properly direct the reading, so he continued with that intent*
*is silent for a while... in a trying really hard to see something specific kind of way* A red snake... very close... *obviously having a lot of difficulty here*
[[Not entirely sure where in England there live... but assuming "in England" as a whole counts as close ;P especially since I doubt he could get something more accurate without scrying.]]
*Mori tried to look back at the darkness to measure it against the snake... but it didn't like being spied upon and had been waiting for him to 'venture' back.*
*odd...* The d- *The boy's throat constricted as the darkness tried to trap and invade his mind. His body tensed even farther to the point of straining. Though this (and stopping in the middle of a sentence) wasn't necessarily odd for a particularly tough reading... there's just a bad feeling coming from it*

*The smoke from the incenses started turning black and wreathing their way around Mori... something that just had NOT happened before... then again Mori had also never stumbled across someone that could attack him like this while doing an invoked reading either...*
*The thicker the black smoke got around the Mori... the more relaxed his body started to become...*
[[Basically Mori's reading alerted "the darkness" to his presence and now it's trying to pull him into a "dream walk" where it can loot/corrupt his mind.
A "dream walk" is ADVANCE and DANGEROUS (sinking one's consciousness almost entirely into the ethreal relm... where as a reading just opens you to it) and neither boy would have likely learned about it at this point in time.
Basically Taka needs to be snapped out of it, and gotten away from the smoke... of course the smoke will try to do the same to Honey should he interfere with it. How do you wake someone up and clear the air of smoke ALL without getting close to the person? *grin*]]
*He reaches his hand to touch Takashi, but recoils as he sees the smoke reach out towards his hand as well.
*What to do? What to do?! If only he could use his magic, he could have tried some repelling charms, but without it....
*he ran to the corner of the room nearest the door, where a bucket of water (normally kept for cleaning) was located, and threw the contents towards Takashi, hoping that it would snap him out of it, even if not all of his questions were answered yet. This wasn't going right!*
*works, and Mori momentarily slumps, but is decidedly awake*
*the drenched incense are no longer emitting smoke of any kind, and what is left in the air (not absorbed by the water) doesn't seem enough to harm anyone*

*is a little surprised that he's wet and confused. He had no clue what was happening on this side of things... all he knew was he was struggling against the darkness, then something pulled him back and he was slumped on the floor... but he is pretty sure SOMETHING was going on here based on how Mitsukuni was looking at him and the fact he WAS wet*
*Wet or not, Mitsukuni couldn't stop himself from feeling the need to climb into his cousin's lap and hugging him. That wasn't how a reading was supposed to go, he was worried now. And the look on Takashi's face only further confirmed that.*
*nods, re-oriented by now (it only took him a second or two and not physically harmed by any of this... maybe a little mentally fatigued, but not showing his usual signed of being tired just yet)*
Mitsukuni, the darkness is connected to the red snake. And the red snake is very close. *worried* *Though Mitsukuni is very concerned already, Takashi had to say these things before they faded from his mind...*
