Yay for lack of updates!
Muse #6 is out and looking good. I predict #7 looks amazing. I started a little bit on it tonight, and it's coming together nicely. We're doing a burrito taste test...should be fun. I actually have already done 4 of the 5 dining halls, but I won't unveil my thoughts until Thursday morning, when the issue hits stands.
That Thursday will be nuts.
- Muse #7
- Midterm 1
- Midterm 2
- Muse meeting
- Dad
My God, I may collapse by the time that's over.
Dad's taking me to Woodstock on Friday. Should be a neat little excursion. I think dad wants to find some wandering musicians; whatever the case may be, it'll be a cool experience.
Aramark fired Mike. Aramark fired Mike. The asst. director of Myles has been canned, leaving us to pick up the pieces...or something. The shelf life of a Myles manager is about 1 1/2 years it seems. Let's hope Kourtney and Sean stay aboard much longer. Of course, for their sake, maybe they should move.
I still am very very very very very happy. She knows why. ;) I can't wait to see you (almost 1 week from now)!

Day 53: Today, Return All Junk Mail
This is such a novel idea, and I tried it out. I found, remarkably, that the sender in some cases was ME. Somehow, spammers get all BU email addresses and send them spams from random BU addresses. In fact, I would get emails from and addressed to abatool. I ALWAYS thought this was fake. Then I saw something interesting in my RA's email to the floor...abatool happens to be my NEIGHBOR, Amber. Of all the people who could have such an address, it's my NEIGHBOR. I bet she gets emails from me all the time, wondering "why is this abbey person sending me things?" Or not.
But I sent back a bunch of junk mail. Not all, as I had over 100 messages. That's a lot of work. And a lot of requests for Viagra. And prescription drugs.
Day 54: Today count your farts.
AWESOME idea, but it's on a Wednesday. I'm in the office all day, so I'm all about "holding it in."
Regardless, I farted five times. Twice in the morning before class. Once outside on the way home from the office. Twice more right before bed. Pretty uneventful day for farting.
Day 55: Pancake Day. Today, a test of patience. Flip the perfect pancake.
Oh yeah, cause I have a spatula and grill right here in my room. Sorry, but this is a no-go.

In other news, I got the most random MySpace message ever tonight. Kelly Laroe, a friend of mine from CONWELL (middle school), messaged me for catch up. Turns out she inexplicably saw my brother on MySpace, looked him up, saw his last name and messaged him. Then he said I was on MySpace. How this all came to be is still beyond me. But it happened. Turns out Kelly is in Philly working at the Insectarium. Nice.
I haven't seen her since sophomore year of high school, and even then it was for a moment. So really, I haven't had any actual, solid conversation with her since senior year of middle school. Wait, there is no senior year in middle school. We call it EIGHTH GRADE. So that's...SEVEN YEARS AGO. My God that's a long time.
Funny too, because I was telling my friend Olga about Thach, this girl back in the day who I was "kind of" seeing for like a week. We were the big geeks in Conwell, so we naturally had to hook up. I think we held hands once and I kissed her on the cheek or something. And Kelly was good friends with her, and I think there was this thing between all of us because she may have liked me? I forget. It was so long ago. But it was amazing to hear from her, and even more amazing to hear that she somehow found me.
And Marie inexplicably found Jamie Schrank (I think that's her last name?) from Central on MySpace. She looks sorta the same. I made her my friend; for some reason MySpace told me she wanted me to be her friend. I got mixed up. But I still accepted. She was one of "those girls"- you know, the girls you get close to for like two weeks and then kind of fall off the radar with? For some reason, those two weeks were full of hope and good friendship, but somewhere along the line both people were like, "Oh, we're supposed to be close?" One of them. But she listed Annie Hall first in her favorite films list. So I'll be friends with that.
And Jimbo from Central MySpaced me. Jimbo's the friggin man. Half-Irish, half-Italian guy from South Philly who used to wear an APA (WWF reference) shirt. We went to a Phils game together. His padres run a deli. Good stuff.
So now I wonder who will be the next blast-from-the-past.
Who wants it?
