So, first birthday on my own, away from home, and it turned out pretty swell, considering it was in the middle of finals (and forever will be for the next four years if I don’t somehow leave SSU). Still, it was rather pleasant to see an indox filled with facebook notifications and having friends quietly whisper “happy birthday” at the library while I studied for my stats final. And having my cell phone blast out embarrassing ringtones I reserve for my mother and father. Both of them displayed amusing levels of gushiness that I could only return with equally appalling wails of, “AWWWW, THANKS, MOM. THANKS, DAD. I MISS YOU GUYS TOO. I LOVE YOU. ;___; ”
Heh, but the highlight was having my suitemates come in at 9pm with a sundae and a scented, unlit candle (fire is a no-no in our dorm), singing for me. And, since we were in also in the middle of packing, one of them put on about a million layers of our clothes and stripped to Timberlake’s Sexyback. She got exhausted halfway through the layers and I just laughed, and laughed, and laughed. (And webcam’d it all.)
Of course, I still have a lot of work to do before 11am tomorrow, but I’m feeling very cheery. It could also be that I’m going home for the summer after my final. (And I have a sinking suspicion that my parents might be planning something devious...) Sooo… yay! :D

Oh! And I now have a dreamwidth account as tanyart, and will be keeping it strictly for fandom/art/fic, though it will probably not be updated as much as LJ. (My icon spaaaace, I miss it. :’CCC) So, add me if you want, and I will gleefully add you back!
