I have a new laptop.
Yeah, I know,
I bought a second hand one on eBay. And it arrived, and it looked exactly as it should, and it worked fine and had all the things I want from a laptop--except I looked at it and went, "It's an HP. :|".
I've always had Asus laptops. They are shiny and work well and have never let me down, I love the layout, and I simply generally approve of them. Nothing against HP; I'm sure they make good laptops, but my brain went THIS IS NOT MY LAPTOP.
So I sold it to Jasper.
She's a wonderful person and bought it for as much as I paid for it. She's been wanting to buy a laptop anyway because her Mac is a work laptop, and she felt like having one of her own. So now she's got the HP, and I went and indulged my brand obsession and bought an Asus K50C.
It doesn't have a remote, but it's got a webcam. It also has the number pad on the right side of the keyboard, which will take some getting used to. It is extremely shiny, though! And I managed to stick my old hard drive into it, so I didn't even have to do any formatting. Win.
Other than that, I'm doing fine. Jasper's here, so I'm largely offline. We went to London yesterday, and will be going to Stonehenge tomorrow. I'm having fun. I think she is, too. I shall be back soon! Ish.
