Ahaha I am an idiot.
I was vidding. Vidders on the f-list will know that while vidding, you have to re-play certain bits of song over and over and over. If you do this on speakers, it's a pretty sure way to drive everyone around you bugnuts within minutes. I only have a set of crappy earphones, though, and my speakers are nice speakers, and my flatmate isn't around, so I was playing the audio on speakers--not considering my upstairs neighbors.
Long story short, about an hour ago, the upstairs neighbor knocked on the door and asked me to turn it down. Oops, says I, no problem, of course I will. I obediently plugged in my earphones and continued working on my vid. Now, I have a setup where, when you plug in the earphones, the speakers don't automatically turn off as well. And I know what you're all thinking, and yes, that's exactly what I did--I forgot to turn off the speakers when I plugged in the headphones.
Sorry, upstairs neighbor. I'm not intentionally malicious. I'm just stupid. xD
