Well, I'm pretty much IN the Supernatural fandom these days, I don't....know how that happened, actually.

*eyes surroundings suspiciously*

But the sane people (yes there are some here) are taking it pretty well, and unfortunately the crazy ones are pleased with themselves. Because everyone knows that any acknowledge AT ALL is equivalent to a hug and a thumbs up, amirite!? SIGH.

Methinks the creator, who DOESN'T have to deal with the crazy fans at the conventions, should have thought twice before writing some of that in the script :/

For what it's worth, though, I'm loling like mad :D :D :D and hoping that the episode has introduced some blossoming fangirls to the internet and fandom in general. C'MON IN BABIES BUT WIPE YOUR FEET AND WATCH YOUR STEP <3

ALTHOUGH it would be a shame if people thought slash meant incest. Because. Uh. I read both, but....yeah, that would be awkward.

It would be. Personally, I'm "out" about being a fan, meaning I don't lie about what I do on the internet if people ask me, and the amount of flak you catch when all you're talking about is the fact that you happen to think m/m sex is hot--even if it's in a conversation with a bunch of students who are making serious plans about producing a porn movie starring themselves--may have made me a little lol sensitive in this respect. >_>

I have been there, which is why I don't really out myself anymore. Hell, I've even just said that I find m/m sex HOT, without mentioning TV or fandom at all, and THAT'S caused drama. But at least it helps weed out the stupid people, even if it gets lonely :/

Hee, well, I mostly have a small, close knit circle of friends and they all know that I am really really REALLY liberal when it comes to sex. I have informed them that I frequently use the internet for "porn" and we all leave it at that unless they are curious to know more. So it's cool. I'm just still smarting from a (former) guy friend of mine implying that I wasn't "classy" because I thought two men together were hot.

According to him none of his other female friends felt the same way, and he'd asked, so I had to be a freak. Or something. Whatever, the guy was a douche and a half.

I don't live in Colorado Springs, although I had a relative who went to the Air Force Academy there (and man HE sure wasn't liberal, lol) but if I did I would love to meet you! XD

My mom is luckily very cool, but ALL of her sibling are scary moral, so I really lucked out there.

Same here. Saying that I thought m/m sex was hot got me questions like, oh, you used to be a man, right? And I was like... no, actually, I just like watching hot men make out. It's okay for men to like watching hot women make out. What's the diff?

at least it helps weed out the stupid people, even if it gets lonely
This. To both. I don't really want to deal with people who are as close-minded as that, but on the other hand, I wish there were more people in RL who aren't as close-minded.

Inorite. Granted, she was drunk, and not being entirely serious, but the mere thought process that would have to happen to lead to this idea nothing but boggles me.

Well, if you found the user, I can just bookmark his/her journal and surf through the entries when I am trying to avoid my homework. *g* Thank you!

Yeeah. It's that thing about not feeding the trolls. It applies to crazy fen as well. >_>

And hee, yes, I could see that. Some fourteen-year-old kid sitting up and going... wait. Sam slash Dean, together? HELL YES. *goes to search the internet*

If I were one of the Sam/Dean actors, I'd make the CREATOR deal with all the awkward Wincest questions (which WERE dying out, sigh) and strange entitlement issues for cons in the foreseeable future.

Man, thinking of wee newbie!fangirls reminds me of my fourteen-year-old self reading Star Wars fanfiction. Good times. *g*
